Amid all the contemporary political and cultural contests, too many conservatives fail to make the case for overarching eternal truths — whether in debate with adversaries across the aisles of Congress, or with neighbors across Main Street.

Lost in the din is the foundational endowment of Essential Liberty, and any debate that does not begin with this eternal truth will end with temporary deceits.

The most oft-cited words from our Declaration of Independence are these: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

The eternal assertion that Liberty for all people is “endowed by their Creator” and is thus “unalienable” should require no defense, because “we hold these truths to be self-evident,” and because the rights of man are irrevocable from the “Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.”

But the root of all debate between Liberty and tyranny — or, in political parlance, between Right and left — is the contest to assert who endows Liberty — God or man.

The left’s humanist position has been made plainly evident by Barack Hussein Obama, who has a history of deliberately and repeatedly omitting the words “endowed by their Creator” when citing in open constituent forums the Declaration’s reference to “Rights.” What, exactly, is the inspiration for such overt and explicit omissions by the titular head of the Democratic Party?

Contemporary Leftist protagonists seek to replace Rule of Law with the rule of men. This is because the former is predicated on the principle that Liberty is “endowed by our Creator,” while the latter asserts that government is the giver of Liberty.

The history of man, since its first record, has repeatedly and tragically documented that when the people settle for the assertion that government is the source of their rights, tyranny is the inevitable result. And tyrants always attempt to undermine Liberty by driving a wedge between it and its foundational endowment by our Creator.

For generations, American liberals have driven that wedge by asserting that our Constitution provides a “wall of separation” between church and state. But does it?

The short answer is “yes,” but it is most certainly not the faux wall constructed by judicial activists, who have grossly adulterated the plain language of our First Amendment especially during the last 50 years.

Contrary to what many liberals would have us believe, the words “wall of separation between church and state” do not appear in our Constitution — nor is this notion even implied. Thomas Jefferson penned those words in an obscure 1802 letter to the Danbury Baptist Association in response to concerns about Connecticut’s establishment of Congregationalism as their state church. Jefferson assuaged their concerns, telling the Baptists that the First Amendment prohibited the national government from establishing a “national church,” but he concluded rightly that the Constitution prohibited the national government from interfering with the matters of state governments — a “wall of separation,” if you will, between federal and state governments.

The “wall of separation” argument is thus a phony one. Indeed, it is a blueprint for tyranny.

We are created, from the beginning, in the Image of God, and that image is the essence of Liberty, the well of all rights for all people for all time.

Our enlightened Founders, in their revolutionary opposition to tyranny, looked far beyond kings and parliaments to the enduring source of the rights of man, and they enumerated in our Declaration of Independence that we are, indeed, created in God’s Image for His purpose, and that no man could strip that endowment from the soul of another. Thus, we have the equal capacity to be free, personal, rational, creative and moral beings, and we are entitled to be so through His endowment.

These rights and freedoms were further enshrined in our Constitution.

In 1776, John Hancock wrote of Jacob Duché, the first Chaplain appointed by the Continental Congress, “Congress … from a consideration of your … zealous attachment to the rights of America, appoint(s) you their Chaplain.” Duché, Pastor of Philadelphia’s Christ Church, captured the spirit of the American Revolution, saying, “Civil liberty is as much the gift of God in Christ Jesus … as our spiritual freedom…  ‘Standing fast’ in that liberty, wherewith Christ, as the great providential Governor of the world, hath made us free.”

It is in that spirit that we at The Patriot Post adopted our motto, Veritas vos Liberabit — “The Truth Will Set You Free” (John 8:32). That is the essence of the assertion that we are “endowed by our Creator” with life and Liberty.

Ignorance of the true and eternal source of the rights of man is fertile ground for the Left’s assertion that government endows such rights. It is also perilous ground, soaked with the blood of generations of American Patriots. As Jefferson wrote, “The tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”

Indeed, the “Cycle of Democracy” demands this tonic. And despite the pervasive assault on Liberty by the current legions of Leftist NeoComs, to paraphrase the great Prussian military historian, theorist and tactician Carl von Clausewitz, “the best defense is a good offense.”

Our Founders closed their Declaration with this pledge to each other, and all who would follow: “With a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”

In his 1800 letter to fellow Declaration signer Benjamin Rush, Thomas Jefferson wrote, “I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.”

Like millions of our generation’s American Patriots, I have sworn likewise. We must never forsake our Sacred Honor.

No matter what setbacks we face, Liberty is an eternal endowment. Thus, we must hold the lines on defense, and regroup for relentless attack on offense.

Never lose faith, fellow Patriots!

As odd as it might seem, the topic of whether or not there is gold in Fort Knox is something that I have only recently become aware of as a student of “conspiracy”.  I know there are many fellow travelers who are aware of this topic and who have been studying it for a longer time,  but I decided to blog on this as it caught my attention in a big way…especially in consideration of our nations current financial crisis.

In the 1981 article from Boston Globe reporter – Bob Borino – it is written that in 1974 a significant amount of the gold reserves in Fort Knox was spirited away in the dead of night to undisclosed locations in New York and un-named foreign countries.

The reasons I found this extremely disturbing are that, in the first place, our nations financial security is more or less based on good faith in our government’s honest dealings since we abandoned the Gold Standard in 1971.  At that time the United States government basically made it illegal for citizens to hold minted gold currency as legal tender, in favor of the fiat paper currency still in use today.  If the gold which is supposed to be in place as a hard asset backing up our paper currency is truly no longer in Fort Knox, and in an even worse set of circumstances…no longer even in the possession of the United States…then we have no way to ever possibly repay any portion of our national debt, no way to maintain the perceived value of the dollar internationally, no way to avoid hyper-inflation, and eventually no way to maintain our trade status with the countries which currently supply our nation with food and other essentials…countries upon whom we are almost completely dependent.

Many conspiracy researchers are aware of the pending Globalist action of the intentional rapid devaluation of the American Dollar and the intentional collapse of the American economy.  Many of us are also aware of the pending resignation of Federal Reserve ChairmanBen Bernanke at the end of July or first part of August 2013.  We see the beginnings of a wholesale “dump” of the American dollar internationally and the end of the Dollar as the primary form of trade currency.   This turn of events is only going to get worse in the coming months.  Can you imagine a scenario in which our very government, in collusion with the Globalist agenda,  kick-starts the final assault on the Dollar after Bernanke leaves the Federal Reserve,  there is an engineered global panic reaction, a number of foreign countries to whom we owe debt demanding re-payment immediately only to find out that The United States has not had the gold to back up its own debt since the early 1970’s.  I will leave it to your own creative imagination to come up with what may happen from that point forward.

The truly, criminally ironic thing is that after the midnight theft of the gold reserves in 1974,  it coincided with the completion of the World Trade Center Towers in New York.  “What does this mean?”  is what you’re probably asking.  Well,  on September 11, 2001,  after the destruction of the World Trade Center Towers,  it was revealed by former Port Authority officers that the second largest gold supply in the United States was located in the sub-basement of WTC Tower #1 (some estimates say as much as $500 Billion worth).  There were reports from NYPD and Port Authority sources that describe an event prior to WTC Tower #1  collapse, a large number of dump trucks with an unknown payload was seen leaving the underground tunnel network which is beneath the Manhattan Business District.

When the rubble from 9/11 was removed, nothing was mentioned in any property insurance claims, or from any news agency of the missing gold supply.  None of it was recovered from the rubble of the towers.  It was not melted by the jet fuel (kerosene).  It was not vaporized by the collapse of the towers,  it was not seen or carried away by the people of New York.

I happen to believe that the gold which was smuggled out of Fort Knox in 1974 is the very same gold that went missing from WTC Tower #1 on September 11, 2001.  But please do not take my word for this…research the topic and decide for yourself.  Or, if the scenario I’ve presented makes absolutely NO sense, and you feel more comfortable sliding back into your security blanket of denial…then by all means, do so.  But, if this blog makes you think, and the conclusion you come to is similar to mine, then be angry, let your voice be heard.  Contact you elected representatives and demand answers, demand accountability.  Because in the early 1970’s a group of individuals within our own government and in big business STOLE your future,  your CHILDRENS future…and it’s time they answer for it!!!

SD has discovered the manuscript of a 1981 article by The Globe which reported that 7,000 tons of gold bullion were removed from Fort Knox from $1973-74, and the only bullion that remained was from melted down gold coins & was of such poor quality (at least 10% copper) that it would not be accepted on the open market by any nation.

Last Friday, I wrote about the fragility of complex systems and how they can collapse. Currently, the most complex and fragile of our American systems is Obamacare. And it’s collapsing before it can even be implemented.

I’m frequently asked if Obamacare can be repealed. I like to respond by saying, Obamacare is destroying itself. It’s so complex and byzantine that the government is struggling to implement the law.

The next big challenge on the calendar is the deadline to have health insurance exchanges operational by October 1, 2013. The full implementation of Obamacare is supposed to happen January 1, 2014. But how are the 45 million uninsured Americans supposed to sign up if there isn’t a place to sign up?

This week we heard from the nonpartisan Government Accountability Office (GAO). Their report on the exchanges was ugly. The health insurance exchanges being created by the federal government for more than 30 states will likely miss the October 1 deadline.

Houston, We Have a Problem

These health insurance exchanges are projected to provide health coverage for seven million people in 2014 and 22 million by 2016. But it’s becoming obvious Obama’s crown jewel policy achievement is shattered and in ruins.

According to the GAO, vital parts of the computer systems running the exchanges remain unfinished. This means the government has no way to know who’s even eligible for the federal subsidies. They have no system to monitor insurance plans for compliance with the mountains of new regulations.

Health insurance rates are doubling, tripling and even quadrupling. Any affordability in the Affordable Care Act was a mirage. In some cases, insurance companies are even suspending the sale of individual policies. Aetna has announced that it’s pulling the plug on California.

Worse yet, the existing healthcare system is also unraveling. The question is: Will Obamacare opponents be able to use this vulnerability to finally kill the beast?

A Lack of Courage

This much is obvious: Opponents of Obamacare don’t have much courage. If they did, Obamacare would already be gone. In order to push Obama hard enough to induce full repeal, they’ll have to go to the mat and shut down the government, much like Newt Gingrich did to Bill Clinton. Unfortunately, John Boehner is no Newt Gingrich. So I foresee a series of half-measures taking shape instead.

The House of Representatives may vote to repeal the individual mandate. The mandate is what makes the law unpopular with voters. But the House should also pass a bill proposed by Georgia Rep. Tom Price to cut off funding to enlarge the Internal Revenue Service. No IRS expansion, no enforcement of Obamacare. Americans never have liked the IRS. They like it even less under Obama’s aggressive tax collection policies.

Obama will never agree to a full repeal, but as the problems continue to mount, he could choose to come to the table and repeal the most onerous provisions of the law. Total repeal will have to wait until he’s out of office. He would veto any plan to fully repeal it.

The best plan of action is to not aid Obama and try to fix it piecemeal. Allow it to fail in full view so voters become committed to total repeal.  The current Obamacare system is unfixable and the sooner the problems come to light, the sooner all will see that the entire system is broken beyond repair.

What Happens When Benevolent Totalitarianism Ceases To Be Benevolent?

As I explained last month, benevolent totalitarianism is the concept of government control by and through deception. For more than 100 years, America has operated as a benevolent totalitarianism. But what happens when totalitarianism ceases to be benevolent?

If benevolent totalitarianism is subtle, outright totalitarianism is open warfare on the people. That is what is beginning in America. We now find ourselves in the opening phase of outright attacks on the people as government exerts greater control in order to suppress dissent over the natural transition from benevolent to non-benevolent totalitarianism.

That America is a fascist Nation is no longer deniable. Fascism, as described by Benito Mussolini, is the merger of state and corporate power. All significant legislation passed in recent years has been designed to either increase the power of the state to control the people, to increase the power and wealth of corporations or to strengthen their symbiotic relationship. As legislation that accomplishes these things is detrimental to the best interests of the people, it can be described only as salvos being fired against the people and in violation of the U.S. Constitution.

America was designed as a representative republic, with Representatives elected by the people to represent their interests when laws are passed. Senators were to be selected by the States to represent the interests of their States. Neither the Congress nor the President is answerable to the people or the States today. They answer only to their corporate sugar daddies and NGOs (non-governmental organizations) that operate behind the scenes. These NGOs, dominated by monied interests, include, but are not limited to, the Federal Reserve, The Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations and various and sundry “think tanks” propped up by the same corporate sugar daddies lining the pockets of Congress.

The names of the people running and funding these NGOs are mostly familiar and pop up from time to time in various ways in government and out: appearing in Presidential cabinets, heading alphabet soup government agencies, sitting on the boards of corporations, running the World Bank, etc. Theirs are the corporations that receive the contracts for government business as it makes war on other countries, move in to rape and pillage the natural resources of Third World countries (see The Secret History of American Empire and Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, both by John Perkins) or fulfill the mandates of legislation (insurance, Big Pharma, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, etc.).

In 2008, against the wishes of the majority of America, George W. Bush pushed through the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), a $700 billion boondoggle of largess to bail out the banksters and their criminal co-conspirators on Wall Street. To sell it, Bush employed classic Orwellian doublethink saying, “I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system.”

Who’s ready for another major shift in the IRS’ official story?  In recent days, Darrell Issa‘s Democratic counterpart on the House Oversight Committee, Elijah Cummings, has been telling anyone who will listen that Congress’ IRS “witch hunt” is over and resolved.  His absurd assertions — from which he’s edged away slightly — smack of desperation, especially considering that new developments continue to arise.  Why, here’s one just now, and it’s a biggie:

“The Internal Revenue Service‘s screening of groups seeking tax-exempt status was broader and lasted longer than has been previously disclosed, the new head of the agency said Monday. In a conference call with reporters, Danny Werfel said that after becoming acting IRS chief last month, he discovered wide-ranging and improper terms on lists screeners were still using to choose groups for careful examinations. He did not specify what terms were on the lists, but said he suspended the use of all such lists immediately. “There was a wide-ranging set of categories and cases that spanned a broad spectrum” on the lists, Werfel said. He added that his aides found those lists contained “inappropriate criteria that was in use.” Werfel’s comments suggest the IRS may have been targeting groups other than tea party and other conservative organizations for tough examinations to see if they qualify. The agency has been under fire since last month for targeting those groups. His comments also indicate that the use of inappropriate terms on such lists lasted longer than has been revealed previously. A report last month by a Treasury Department inspector general said agency officials abolished targeting of conservative groups with those lists in May 2012.”

It seems the Inspector General report missed the boat on the ongoing malfeasance detail.  This is the same report Cummings cites as sufficient oversight, which totally ignores the IG’s questionable timing in releasing its findings.   And just for good measure, Werfel serves up this verdict:

“We have not found evidence of intentional wrongdoing by anyone in the IRS or involvement in these matters by anyone outside the IRS,” he told reporters.”

In other words, no one else (read: within the administration) knew about our continued wrongful actions, which were also totally accidental.  ‘Innocent incompetence’ strikes again.  Let’s face it: Internal investigations often produce whitewashes, which is why you can color Issa very skeptical.  Under the best case scenario, the federal government is so vast and unaccountable that this major agency managed to carry on its high-profile inappropriate behavior in the midst of a massive media firestorm over those very actions.  Most Americans do not buy the IRS’ ineptitude defense, though they’re unlikely to dispute the government’s bloated incompetence.  The likelier explanation for all of this is malicious intent, coupled with ass-covering lies.  We’re not sure how far up the chain this corruption goes, but a plurality of Americans think the White House is responsible.  At the very least, high-ranking officials in Washington directed the targeting program, and members of the administration knew about it well before the 2012 elections.

Bloomberg reports that the just-disclosed “inappropriate terms” that were still being used as of a few weeks ago included “occupy,” “progressive” and “Israel.”  That last one won’t come as a great shock to those who’ve followed this matter closely, but the other two are noteworthy.  Was the IRS also targeting left-leaning groups, and if so, for how long?  Lefty groups have said publicly that they weren’t targeted, an apparent truth that was confirmed by both a former IRS commissioner under oath — as well as the Inspector General’s probe, which stated the following: “The criteria developed by the Determinations Unit gives the appearance that the IRS is not impartial in conducting its mission.”  So what’s going on here?  And how on earth were shady “BOLO” lists still being employed until last month?  I’ll leave you with Eliana Johnson’s WSJ piece taking Cummings to task for his politicized leaking and IRS excuse-making.  Our own Carol Platt Liebau has made similar points about the non-exculpatory transcripts Cummings released, the purpose of which were to provide political cover for his friends at the IRS and the administration.  Considered in a vacuum, the transcripts are interesting.  Given all other relevant evidence, they’re empty.  Parting thought: If it turns out that the IRS targeted some lefty groups (we need to see more evidence on that, plus a timeline), will Elijah Cummings keep pretending this investigation is essentially over?

“If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.” This is the mentality shared by a growing number of Americans who would allow government to run roughshod over their rights, rather than raise concern about the vast expansion of the Surveillance State in the past decade. To this cadre of citizens, government knows best as its leaders implore us to “trust them” while they pursue the “bad guys” on our behalf.

Were it that simple.

The admonition to “trust us” is more than a simple justification of government malfeasance. Big Government cheerleaders use it to “freedom-shame” their critics by setting up a straw-man argument that if one opposes surreptitious surveillance or illegal methods of law enforcement investigations, one obviously must be guilty of some crime they wish to hide. After all, how can you not “trust” Uncle Sam in this 21st Century? How can one be skeptical of a government so benevolent it has gone $17 trillion in debt caring for us?

The answer lies in our Constitution, as well as in the Federalist Papers that so eloquently explain our system of government. As noted in Federalist 51, written 225 years ago by James Madison, the “Father of the Constitution” (I paraphrase): “If men were angels, we would have no need of government, but men are not angels and we therefore institute government among men to protect us from the abuses in which government inevitably will engage if left to its own devices.”

Clearly, our Founding Fathers understood the fundamental nature of government: that, as an institution, government seeks power. They knew also that power, once obtained, tends to corrupt, hence the checks and balances built into in our constitutional republic.

Yet, in our post-9/11 world, the will to demand government operate within the law and the Constitution, and the courage to criticize it when it appears not to so operate, too often is trumped by fear. Fear in myriad permutations – fear of terrorist attacks, fear of crime, fear of accidents, fear of . . . you name it.

As Edmund Burke understood in 1757, “no passion so effectively robs the mind of all its powers of acting and reasoning as fear.” Unfortunately, government leaders today — as in 1776 when John Adams noted that “fear is the foundation of most governments” – understand this fact all too well.

No….its not Martin Luther King, Jr. Day,  but in light of recent events under the growing iron-handed rule of Obama (a.k.a. Barry Sorotero), we have become a people victimized by the politics of division and hatred.  So, in the spirit of freedom and liberty I felt it was necessary to remind all who take the time to view this post how a TRUE leader speaks and shows his character.

Conversely, in 1963 when Dr. King gave this historic speech, it had been approximately 100 years since the first great movement for true freedom for all men and races began in this nation.  In 1963 much had changed since The United States of America held a great number of it’s sons and daughters in bondage and misery…but much had not changed – the hearts of men;  hardened and cold against their brothers and sisters after ages of separation and callousness. Dr. King wondered and prayed to Almighty God asking “How long….??””  How long would men’s hearts remain hard and cold.  He pleaded with the nation to see with new eyes and love with new hearts those whom they had previously judged as different and unworthy and separate.

It has been 50 years since Dr. King gave his great “I have a dream” speech on the steps of The Lincoln Memorial,  and I am sure the spirit of Dr. King still asks……”How Long”?

Using the vague criteria of “law enforcement purposes”, the United States has more than 200 million Americans filed away in various facial recognition databases.  If you have a driver’s license or any other government photo ID, your face is probably one of them.

The Washington Post reported:  Law enforcement use of such facial searches is blurring the traditional boundaries between criminal and non-criminal databases, putting images of people never arrested in what amount to perpetual digital lineups. The most advanced systems allow police to run searches from laptop computers in their patrol cars and offer access to the FBI and other federal authorities.

In discussing the many negatives and lies embedded within the Common Core curriculum with family, friends and acquaintances, it has become apparent that most people are fixated upon various, obvious aspects of Common Core. Most people are missing the bigger picture!

As with U. N Agenda 21/sustainability, ObamaCare and every action taken by the existing regime, along with many of the actions taken by previous regimes, both Democrat and Republican, there is much more to Common Core than meets the eye. Educational professionals within the private and parochial educational systems and the parents who send their children to private and parochial educational systems, along with homeschoolers and their children, need to wake up to the fact they are targets of a Common Core conspiracy.

The evil elites who have devised Common Core, U. N. Agenda 21/sustainability, ObamaCare, and other insidious attacks upon our rights and freedoms harbor a special hatred of our constitutional republic and religious faiths, especially Catholicism, Christianity and Judaism. These evil elites hate the constraints imposed upon government by our constitution, and the morality, ethics and principles upon which our constitution was founded, protecting the citizens of the U. S. from an overreaching, tyrannical government. The elites must always be in control, and, as such, God and our constitution are the enemies of these self-appointed elites. It is time for us to ‘educate’ the targets of Common Core that they are in the elites’ crosshairs!
